Traveling with the Life-Giver: A Spiritual Journey through Recovery from Abuse

Through the next season of my journey into recovery, my focus became seeking personal healing from the trauma of abuse. My professional focus during that time was largely treating abuse survivors, individually, and in group studies. Because the aftereffects of abuse are many, I wrote this book to guide recovering individuals and lead them through their complex maze of symptoms. It is complete with a question and answer portion which can activate the individual’s ability to self-reflect and accurately apply the treatments to themselves.

The Lord directed me to write the story as an allegory. It is a pictorial representation of what is occurring in the spiritual realm as we struggle to live as Christ in a darkened world. You will become acquainted with Cherished, the main character, and her struggles toward wholeness following her abuse. You will travel with her through her shadowy journey into the valley of Despair. It is there, you will meet her enemy, Shame, as he draws her into a cavern asylum. Finally, you will meet Life-Giver and the Spirit who are faithful to show her a way out of the darkness into the place of life.

This book focuses on the power of the Holy Spirit and learning, from Him, how to fight our enemy, Satan, and his demonic forces. I have found that when wounds are left unhealed, what remains is an open door where the enemy can enter in. The spiritual tools I give you in this book will assist you in recognizing and expelling the demonic. Especially the wounds left by trauma, to be fully healed often takes applying emotional and spiritual interventions. That is why I am very excited to share this information with you.
